— Overview
Our team built a full social media and digital marketing strategy for Recreo Coffee & Roasterie, a family-owned coffee shop and roastery in Boston. We started with a market and competitor analysis, confirming a Millennial- and Gen X–heavy local market with strong buying power and benchmarking Recreo against nine nearby coffee shops on hours, brand positioning, and Instagram performance. The takeaway: Recreo earns engagement on par with competitors despite posting less often, but trails on audience interaction.
From there we delivered platform-specific playbooks for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, along with a set of prioritized recommendations: lean on AI for content planning and trend analysis, expand into short-form video, launch a newsletter and loyalty program with in-store QR sign-ups, and bring on a social media intern to keep it running. The client has since adopted and implemented the strategy.
